Synopsis

In Lanett, Alabama, the circumstances surrounding the death of Charlotte Waites simply didn't make sense. The 49-year-old, a cherished former teacher and the mayor’s wife, was discovered deceased in her home in 1998. Friends struggled to find any explanation for such a tragedy, unable to conceive of anyone who would wish her harm, and the police found themselves equally baffled.
