Synopsis

Firefighters arriving at a blaze in a Joliet, Illinois duplex were stunned to discover the body of Melissa Plut, a 28-year-old woman, who had been strangled. Police investigated the maternity nurse’s personal relationships but found no immediate leads until a crucial 9-1-1 call revealed her killer, someone unexpectedly close at hand.
