The initial idea held a lot of promise, however, the execution didn't quite live up to it. Performances were strong from nearly everyone involved, but the story unfolded at an incredibly slow rate. There was a lack of progression, even in terms of dialogue relating to the central theme; and as the first season concluded, I felt no closer to understanding what this concept was really about than when it began.
