Synopsis

Dick persuaded George, with considerable difficulty, to embrace a more spirited existence and to draw upon a portion of his $50,000 inheritance. Unbeknownst to him, the town now regarded Dick as utterly penniless, a consequence of a check that had bounced due to a regrettable error on the bank's part.
