It was generally an entertaining series. Zooey Deschanel’s presence proved essential, and that became quite clear when she wasn’t around for a few episodes in Season 5—those were definitely the weakest parts of the whole run. I probably would have preferred the Coach character as he initially appeared compared to Winston's development (who frequently felt irritating and only occasionally amusing), but both performers delivered acceptable performances, it seems to me. It strikes me that this is a program with a specific niche appeal—targeting viewers in their late twenties to early thirties—and that’s probably why I found myself liking it so much. I would suggest it to people within that age range; I expect I'll revisit the show sometime in the next couple of years.
