Synopsis

John’s first partner, Andy Gleason, is fading. Leukemia, a consequence of a single gunshot wound from an unknown assailant, is claiming him. In his weakened state, Andy makes a plea: he asks John to find his killer and bring them to justice. The investigation pulls John into the orbit of the Russian Mafia, while simultaneously triggering a series of memories – a vivid recollection of the moment he first walked the beat as a police detective.
