Synopsis

The air in The Hive crackled with a sudden urgency. Jane discovered Nicolette trapped beneath a heavy shelf, laboring fiercely. A call for an ambulance pierced the room, and soon sirens wailed in the distance. Simultaneously, Curtis realized a vital component of his cochlear implant was missing – a piece irrevocably damaged. Nicolette was rushed to the hospital, her condition critical. She was unconscious, battling an amniotic fluid embolism.
