Synopsis

The proposition hung in the air, a delicate thing fraught with uncertainty. He considered it, the weight of it settling heavily. The idea of donating an egg, of being a surrogate, felt…complex. He wasn't sure how Steph would receive such news. Concern for Toadie lingered too; they had agreed to keep the matter private, to reveal it only when the time was right.
