Synopsis

Xanthes existence was a curious blend of comfort and precariousness. She wasn't destitute, precisely, but had taken to residing in an empty display home, a somewhat unconventional choice for someone with a certain air of refinement. It was there she met Piper, and an easy friendship blossomed between them. News of Xanthe’s financial difficulties prompted a bold suggestion from Piper: a party at the house, admission by donation.
