Synopsis

Elly was bitten by a tiger snake, and now lay in the hospital. Karl watched her, a growing unease tightening in his chest. The snake’s venom had clearly taken hold, and the prognosis was grave. But as he examined her, a further complication emerged: Elly was pregnant.
