Mason’s return to the house brought a wave of relief to the Turners. Yet, Matt harbored a worry that lingered even if the police chose not to press charges: Brad would likely pursue legal action. Consequently, he asked Toadie to represent Mason should the need arise. The news of Toadie's agreement ignited a furious reaction in Brad, who accused him of favoritism. The Turners’ anxieties were soon realized when Mason was formally served with legal documents; he was the subject of a lawsuit.
