Synopsis

Karl tended to Brad's hand, a mess of bruises and scrapes. But when Karl inquired about the injury, Brad’s explanation felt flimsy. The matter was dismissed until news of the assault on Ezra Hanley reached Karl. A disquieting connection forming in his mind, Karl confronted Brad. Brad confessed he’d embellished the story of how he’d hurt himself, insisting on his innocence regarding Ezra's attack.
