Synopsis

Fanto found himself disquieted by the news of Bill’s conduct regarding the love letters. Karl, too, was troubled by Bill’s travel arrangements and questioned whether he were merely fleeing the pain of his disappointment with Anne. Elsewhere, Anne's dinner party seemed poised for misfortune.
