Synopsis

This is the second film in a pair exploring the Amazon Basin, home to an immense river system and sprawling rainforests. It focuses on the wildlife that thrives there as floodwaters—covering the region for half the year—retreat, exposing the forest floor once more. Fish, now gathered in dwindling pools, draw a multitude of predators, while upon the sandy banks, massive turtles race against time to lay and hatch their eggs before the waters return.
