Badgers possess an unmistakable appearance, yet astonishingly few have ever witnessed one alive in its natural habitat. Often blamed for damage and illness, this creature remains surprisingly enigmatic, particularly when it comes to understanding the complex structure of their setts. For over a year, we observed a badger community within a Devon valley, employing covert underground cameras—a sort of modern, watchful presence.
