Lions once flourished within the deserts of Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, until human actions drove them to extinction. Just six years ago, however, the unconventional biologist Flip Stander located a small, surviving group thriving in the nearby mountains, and began his research. Their numbers have since increased, and they are now venturing back into the desert with greater frequency. Yet, for these lions to continue their wanderings here, Flip must convince the local communities that their lives
