Synopsis

Charlie Hamilton-James and Philippa Forrester ventured onto a short, evocative stretch of the River Torridge in Devon, a landscape made famous eighty years prior by Henry Williamson’s celebrated novel, *Tarka the Otter*. Through months of dedicated observation, they came to know and film a family of wild otters. The resulting work is both a tender portrait of these elusive animals and a heartfelt acknowledgement of Williamson's own talents as a writer and naturalist.
