Synopsis

Ian Holm lends his voice to the remarkable tale of the African sycamore fig tree and its intricate partnership with the minuscule fig wasp. Dependent on one another for survival, they also sustain a vast network of life, from ants to elephants. Each fig itself is a self-contained universe, a vibrant stage where birth, mating, and death unfold as these tiny creatures contend with predators and parasites.
