Synopsis

Across the vast expanse of North America, millions of caribou undertake an unending migration, guided by the matriarchs of each herd. Driven by the instinct of motherhood, they journey some three thousand miles, traveling from winter feeding grounds at the edge of the northern forests to calving areas and back once more. The caribou remain on open terrain, seeking clear sightlines against potential predators; and the wolves follow close behind.
