Synopsis

The programme explores the world of bumble bees within New England’s forests. We observe a queen bumble bee as she awakens from hibernation, seeking a fitting place to nest and building a colony from the eggs she safeguarded through winter. Her journey includes a confrontation with a competing queen, and her life is further intertwined with honey bees, bee mites, and wax moths.
