Synopsis

The Danube Delta harbors an extraordinary abundance of wildlife: half a million wild geese find refuge within its waterways, alongside the greatest population of pelicans anywhere beyond Africa, and home to the world’s largest freshwater fish. Though past communist governments attempted to drain this remarkable landscape, people continue to live and fish here, maintaining a way of life virtually untouched by time.
