Synopsis

Gerald Kastberger, an Austrian scientist, studies the formidable giant honeybees of Assam, focusing on their mysterious annual migration. Each year, these bees leave the Himalayan foothills to settle upon particular trees spread across the plains, a journey of roughly one hundred miles that takes them three weeks to complete. Locally regarded with as much trepidation as the tiger itself, the bees attack in swarms, and a single assault can deliver a hundred or more stings, often proving fatal.
