Synopsis

This volume traces the path of thousands of reindeer as they embark on a 400km migration through Lapland, accompanied by the Saami, whose lives are inextricably linked with these animals. Along the way, new life enters the herd, dangers must be avoided, formidable mountains are crossed, and even stretches of sea are navigated to reach the rich summer grazing lands of the Arctic coast.
