Synopsis

Shikamaru’s team returned to Konoha bearing many wounds. Neji and Chouji were critically injured, teetering on the brink of death. Kiba carried a grievous wound, though thankfully not fatal. Naruto and Shikamaru sustained only minor injuries. Upon learning of their return, Sakura immediately sought out Sasuke and Naruto, only to discover that Sasuke had escaped. Could Naruto fulfill his promise to Sakura? And what tidings did Jiraiya bring for him?
