Synopsis

Gaara persisted in recounting his history. His assertion that Naruto could not grow stronger by fighting for others stirred a memory in Naruto's mind: a vision of himself, adrift and isolated, had he never found his friends. A sudden understanding solidified within him – the need to shield those he held dear. Overcoming his apprehension, Naruto resolved to face Gaara.
