Synopsis

Naruto, weary of routine assignments, petitioned the Hokage for a task of greater substance. The Hokage, yielding to his request, assigned them a C-rank mission: to serve as bodyguards for a bridge builder. It seemed a straightforward undertaking, until the group found themselves beset not by ordinary ruffians, but by ninja of a more formidable caliber.
