Synopsis

A long-ago friend of Uncle Charley’s, a man of the sea, appeared with an enticing offer: he wished for Charley to join him as first mate on a six-month fishing voyage through the Caribbean. The family then hatched a plan, intending to show Charley that his presence wasn't essential, though in truth they hoped he would remain.
