Synopsis

A scented letter arrived for Steve Douglas, from an old girlfriend, informing him of an impending visit. Her presence proved unsettling; she behaved as if anticipating a formal offer of marriage, one he had never extended. He found himself awkwardly attempting to persuade her that his college friend would be a far more suitable match.
