Synopsis

Chip sought Steve’s blessing to elope, but before granting it, insisted he also request Mr. Williams’ approval. Chip went to see him only to be confronted with an accusatory display of a private detective's report. Understanding then that Polly’s own father had employed someone to follow them, he abruptly left without even asking for her hand.
