Synopsis

The air held the scent of spring as Ginko drifted along the river in his boat. Kaji, the boatman’s boy, addressed him with a hesitant plea: his mother was losing her memory, plagued by sleeplessness, and he wondered if Ginko might offer assistance. It seemed, at first, to be a case of progressive amnesia, yet something felt amiss.
