Synopsis

The four daughters of Stephen Earl recounted to Sheriff Tupper that their father had perished during a boating excursion. Jessica, however, remained only mildly interested; she found Ralph, the affable gentleman who had offered his labor for sustenance, far more captivating, particularly given the evident wealth he possessed.
