Synopsis

A retired police officer dialed 911, his voice strained as he tried to convey that he’d sustained multiple gunshot wounds and his girlfriend had been taken. Detectives mobilized immediately, determined to stabilize the caller – his cooperation was vital in locating the missing woman and identifying the shooter, who they suspected might be a hired assassin linked to a drug cartel.
