Synopsis

Ernest Shackleton, the Antarctic explorer, was scheduled to deliver a lecture at the shop that day. Simultaneously, the railway line was shut down following the discovery of a body on the tracks, delaying the arrival of several employees. The identity of the deceased sent a ripple of shock through the store. Elsewhere, Frank Edwards found himself disappointed in a request for assistance, while Roddy Temple’s presence continued to be a source of disruption.
