The show’s premise—a contemporary person living inside the body of a historical queen—didn’t quite stretch far enough to sustain itself across twenty episodes. I found myself liking the initial installments more than later ones because the jokes started repeating themselves consistently. It felt like they relied on the same scenarios over and over, particularly those involving cooking or kitchen scenes; it's baffling how they envisioned that approach would last. A smaller ensemble might have allowed for fresh ideas to emerge. But what really hurt the series was the clumsy effort to introduce a narrative thread into its simple structure. It’s unusual to witness such blatant attempts at doing so, and the execution felt awkward—serious plot developments were isolated in specific episodes while the comedic elements shifted around elsewhere. Trimming it down to roughly eight episodes would have likely addressed many of these problems. I'm giving it a decent rating mainly because of its initial concept, the characters involved, and a few of the jokes that did land well.
