The series was good; it seemed carefully put together, and the performers were strong. However, there’s something I need to mention that involves revealing plot points, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you should probably stop reading here... After watching this show, I initially thought the brothers were terrible people, essentially monsters, and the storyline about sexual abuse felt fabricated. When they received life sentences without the possibility of parole, I was glad. But then I watched "The Menendez Brothers (2024)," a documentary focusing on those same brothers, featuring actual video recordings, interviews, and courtroom footage. That documentary led me to believe that the boys were telling the truth about experiencing sexual abuse and didn’t deserve such severe punishments. Now, I'm feeling torn and unsure of what to think, but I find myself leaning toward trusting the documentary more than the show itself.
