Synopsis

With the close of the first term, the students were preparing for their Lower Cambridge Certificate examination. Unbeknownst to them, Mr. Brown’s earlier altercation in the pub had unforeseen consequences. The man involved, Mr. Short—a former principal of the school—was now assigned to supervise the exam, a circumstance that threatened to resurface the unpleasant incident.
