Synopsis

Mildred takes considerable pride in Veda’s burgeoning singing career, yet her daughter consistently rebuffs her calls and ignores her letters. Seeking solace, Mildred spends time with Monty Beragon, and ultimately decides to purchase his ancestral mansion. They resolve to marry, and Mildred is overjoyed when Monty arranges for Veda to perform at the reception.
