Synopsis

Harriet Farmer awakens from a coma, the slumber lasting since the night of her failed elopement. Soon after, a series of murders rocks the community, each victim a member of the local chess club. John Barnaby and his team begin to investigate, considering whether the attack that left Harriet for dead a year prior holds a connection to the intricate strategies of the chessboard. They also strive to uncover the fate of her vanished boyfriend, Finn.
