Synopsis

In the village of March Magna, a dark night saw Joyce, Barnaby’s wife, veer her car sharply, avoiding what appeared to be a shadowy figure in the road. Whether it was truly a person remains uncertain. Later that night, a body is found within the old cemetery. Had Joyce struck someone, or was the victim, it seems, a man with many adversaries, slain by a villager? Barnaby and Jones find themselves facing a community where everyone seems to conceal a secret – but is any of it connected to murder?
