Synopsis

The town of Perna, known throughout the region for its sorrowful statue of the Virgin Mary, offered Hatchin little comfort as she passed through, traveling alone and with a dwindling purse. She found an unexpected connection in Rita, a young girl from the local circus, who harbored a fervent admiration for her older performing partner and yearned with all her heart to be grown.
