In *Megastructures*, we journey to Dubai, a small desert kingdom, to examine the extraordinary engineering feats behind the iconic Burj Al-Arab Hotel. Constructed over five years, this arresting building rises from the coastline like an immense white sail. As this program demonstrates, the hotel’s young designers' unwavering commitment ensured that the project stretched the limits of architectural possibility. Conceived by Dubai’s crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Burj Al-
