Synopsis
On August 6, 2005, Tuninter Flight 1153 succumbed to a lack of fuel and plunged into the Mediterranean Sea, resulting in the loss of sixteen lives. The aircraft had depleted its reserves due to a faulty fuel gauge, mistakenly installed from a different aircraft model, which had consequently provided the crew with inaccurate information regarding the quantity of fuel available.
