Synopsis

On December 11, 1994, a bomb detonated aboard Philippine Airlines Flight 434, during its second leg from Manila to Tokyo, with a stopover in Cebu City. The explosion resulted in the death of one passenger, injuries to many others, and damage to several of the aircraft's control systems. The crew managed a successful landing at Naha Airport in Okinawa. Ramzi Yousef, a terrorist, had smuggled the explosive device onto the plane during its initial flight.
