Synopsis

On November 23, 1996, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 was compelled to make an emergency landing at sea after its fuel reserves were depleted. As the wings struck the water, the aircraft fractured, resulting in the loss of life for 125 individuals. The flight had been hijacked, and the fuel exhaustion stemmed from the hijackers' disbelief in the pilot's assertion that sufficient fuel remained to reach their intended destination in Australia.
