Synopsis
On March 29, 2001, a business jet chartered by Avjet struck a hillside during its final approach to Aspen/Pitkin County Airport in Colorado, resulting in the loss of all eighteen people aboard. The accident investigation determined that the pilots had descended below the required minimum descent altitude prematurely.
