Synopsis

On June 10, 1990, a catastrophic failure of the cockpit window occurred on British Airways Flight 5390, resulting in the captain's partial ejection and subsequent injuries sustained through the breach. A flight attendant remained tethered to his legs as the first officer managed an emergency landing, averting any loss of life. The captain was discovered alive twenty-one minutes after being exposed to the elements outside the cockpit.
