Synopsis
On April 5, 1991, Atlantic Southeast Airlines Flight 2311 plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground during its approach to Glynco Jetport. All twenty-three people aboard perished, among them U.S. Senator John Tower and astronaut Sonny Carter. The cause of the disaster was determined to be a malfunction in the left engine's propeller control unit.
