Synopsis
On August 20, 2008, Spanair Flight 5022, attempting to take off from Barajas Airport, stalled moments after lifting. The aircraft banked sharply to the right before crashing, resulting in the loss of all 154 of the 172 people aboard. The pilots had aborted the initial takeoff, and the subsequent attempt ended in disaster.
