Synopsis
On July 25, 2000, Air France Flight 4590, a Concorde bound for New York City, experienced a catastrophic failure shortly after departing Charles de Gaulle Airport. The aircraft collided with debris from a Continental Airlines DC-10, igniting its fuel tanks and causing engine failure. The Concorde crashed into a hotel in Gonesse. All one hundred and nine passengers and crew perished in the disaster, along with four people on the ground.
