Synopsis
On June 6, 1971, Hughes Airwest Flight 706 collided with a United States Marine Corps jet fighter over the San Gabriel Mountains. The accident resulted in the loss of fifty lives from both aircraft; the crew member seated in the rear of the Marine Corps fighter was the sole survivor.
